All Fish in How to Fish: Database and Confirmed Creatures

What will the fish database track?

This page is the entry point to the How to Fish fish database. Every creature entry is planned as a structured record with these fields:

• Island — which island the fish appears on.
• Location — where on that island to find it.
• Required Lure/Bait — what you need to hook it.
• Rod — the fishing gear tier required.
• Base Value — its sell price before multipliers (see the Sell Value Calculator).
• Rare Variant — whether a rare version exists; rare fish are a confirmed mechanic.
• How to Catch — the catch and fight approach.
• Quest Use — whether a quest or boss step requires it.
• Sell/Keep — whether to sell it or hold it for progression.

Fields are published only once verified. Empty fields stay empty — no guessed numbers.

Which creatures are officially confirmed so far?

As of patch 1.0.4 (August 22, 2026), two creatures are confirmed by the official patch notes:

What is still being verified?

Everything else: the full fish roster, where each fish lives, what bait and rod each one needs, base values, and which fish have rare variants. Community reports are being collected and checked against the current patch before anything is added to the database.
